Consider related job titles and roles

You may want to expand your HHA search with related keywords and comparable jobs and functions.

• Caregiver

• Homemaker

This will expand the pool of job options available to you by doing job searches under these roles. We mentioned earlier that some roles which don’t require a Home Health Aide certification may be referred to under the unlicensed job roles that we mention above. However, it’s important to keep in mind that these roles will often generally prioritize those with HHA certification and may also offer enhanced pay, even if it’s not a job requirement. 

Please note, however, that certification requirements may vary. For example, a CNA has a different licensing requirement than an HHA. If a job role specifies that it needs a CNA, also known as a Certified Nurse Aide, it’s possible that they can only hire those individuals with this certification. This is particularly true in certain settings such as in a nursing home or hospital. 

Geographical areas

Luckily, Home Health Aides are in high demand in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley. Therefore, it can be easy to get quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of job postings that you discover.
