Nutrition and hydration

A Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) ensures that their patients eat safely. They will help residents receive adequate nutrition during their stay in a nursing facility or hospital. A Home Health Aide (HHA) has a similar responsibility in the home healthcare environment.

CNAs and nurse aides learn about nutrition and hydration in philadlephia classes

Accordingly, CareBridge Academy students learn how to monitor fluid and food intake properly. They will learn about the varied types of diets and nutrients that their patients’ bodies need. These are the nutrients necessary to sustain life, aid in recovery, and stay healthy.

During their classes, students learn about the food pyramid, the effects of dental on diet and overall well-being, and how to make sure that patients receive adequate nutrition. This is the case even when physical, emotional, and spiritual considerations may affect their overall food intake.
