To be considered for admission in a Home Health Aide or Certified Nurse Aide program, potential applicants must:
-Be at least seventeen (17) years old
-Have the ability to read and perform basic math functions
-Provide a physical exam/health form completed by a physician which indicates that the applicant:
● Applicant is in good general health free from infectious or communicable disease and
● can lift 40 pounds of weight.
-submit a negative tuberculosis (TB) screening test (either 2-step PPD or chest x-ray if PPD is positive) done within the previous 12 months. Generally, this can also be completed at your primary care doctor’s office or a similar facility for a low fee.
